Meet The Staff
Barb Hague
Captain Barbara Hague! Originally from Quebec, Barb moved to BC in 1971 and shortly after, in 1973, she was introduced to fishing by her now husband Doug. We wouldn't be here if Barb didn't find her love and passion for fishing!
June Goose
Before joining the Sharkey's crew, June raised her 4 children, along with miniature horses, on a farm on the North Shore. She has been working at Sharkey's for 13 years and it wouldn't be the same without her.
Gabby Gunn
Gabby is currently going to university to get a Bachelors Degree in Science at UVic before moving on to nursing. In between semesters you can find her travelling, working, and spending as much time as she can with her friends and family. This is Gabby's 4th year at Sharkey's.
Emily Jaschinski
Emily moved from South Africa to the Sunshine Coast when she was just 10 years old, and found her love for horses while living on her family's farm in Roberts Creek. Now, while attending Queen's University, Emily aspires to become a veterinarian so she can help the animals that she loves. This is Emily's 2nd year working at Sharkey's.
Kerri Cross
Kerri is the only high school student left at Sharkey's. Alongside most of the shop, Kerri has a passion for horses and in between all of her shifts taking care of a farm in Roberts Creek. This is Kerri's 2nd year working at Sharkey's.
Cara Inksator
Before Sharkey's, Cara was making waves in Vancouver by becoming the first female fire fighter in the area. Cara's history in the food processing industry made her a perfect candidate to fill the role of Manager back in 2006. During the off season, Cara runs a farm and raises horses alongside her daughter MacKenzie. This is Cara's 13th year at Sharkey's.
MacKenzie Inksator
MacKenzie grew up in the shop, following in her moms, Cara's, footsteps. She is going into her second year at UBCO and plans to go into nursing. When Kenzie isn't studying or working, she's probably at the barn with her horses getting ready for competitions. MacKenzie is one of our longest standing employees.
Amber Henderson
Alongside working at Sharkey's, Amber just completed her program at university and has started working as a Pharmacy Technician. She is very hard working and has been at Sharkey's for 6 years, and has successfully been able to juggle her time between sports, school, friends and work.
Lucy Schick
Lucy has been working in the shop for 5 years and has dedicated her life to her love of mountain bike racing. She is going into her second year at the University of Victoria and studies as much as she can in between working and racing. You can almost guarantee that if Lucy doesn't answer her phone that she's riding down the mountain in preparation for her competitions.
